Running up that hill

Many, many thanks to Russell Kay for entering the Flora London Marathon on our behalf, even paying his own entrance fee to maximise charity income! If you’re in the area on the day, please give Russell some support and help The Eye Fund in the process.

Listen to what The Man said…

As a wise man once wrote:

If I ever get out of here,
Thought of giving it all away
To a registered charity.
All I need is a pint a day
If I ever get out of here.

Sir Paul McCartney ~ Band On The Run

The Eye Fund is glad to announce that it is, indeed, a Registered Charity: #1121977. So, if you’re going to give it all away, please, give it to The Eye Fund.

Last chance to win a calendar signed by Sir Paul McCartney

Sir Paul was kind enough to sign a second calendar for us, which we are auctioning off to the highest bidder on Ebay. Please dig deep and help The Eye Fund to care for future generations of visually impaired people. This is the the second of only two, so get bidding!

Update from Carol Sherry

A lot of folks have been checking out the site since Phil set it up and have been helping out The Eye Fund in various ways.

We thought that an update on progress from the family would be appropriate.

Thanks to The Plough!

We’d like to extend a huge Thank You! to Mike Traynor and all of the regulars at The Plough in Ipplepen, Devon. They had a charity night and raised over £700 for The Eye Fund. Simon spent his final years in the village there and was a regular in the pub quiz team (and whenever EastEnders was on the big screen). Great work, guys!

The Eye Fund Launched!

The Eye Fund was launched on Thursday 11th October. Thanks to everyone who turned up to support the cause and all those who bought calendars.

We even got a mention on Sir Paul's site: PM Supports The Eye Fund.

The Eye Fund | Cheers!

Thanks to Steve Cairney for the pics, of which you can see more in the gallery.
